Takeoff41 initiated a clinical feasibility study (NCT07414576) at Stanford University's neonatal intensive care unit, marking the first time TPN2.0 has been deployed in a live clinical environment. The study plans to enroll 260 infants and uses a sequential design: providers first order TPN using standard practice, then switch to AI-assisted ordering with TPN2.0 integrated into Epic.
The primary outcome is physician acceptance rate of AI-generated TPN recommendations. Dr. David Stevenson, a neonatologist at Stanford, serves as principal investigator.
